The UB women respected the tradition again this year by turning out massively in their beautiful outfits for the celebration of the 2024 International Women’s Day. After the parade at Bongo Square the women converged at the CURELF Campus (Former Alliance Franco-Camerounaise) to feast and make merry.

The President of UB Women used the opportunity to thank the Vice-Chancellor through the Registrar for his great support to the UB women. “The turnout of women in this event is a testimony of the Women’s appreciation to the VC”, said Madam Louisa Tangie.

On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Eneke Bechem, Registrar of UB assured the women that UB and the Vice-Chancellor in particular is committed to the success of the UB women. However, “as women we must take the responsibility to play our individual roles for the growth of UB”, said the Registrar.

Some women who took active part in games and other pre-event activities were given prizes. Thereafter it was dance dance dance.
