Vice-Chancellor’s Cup.
The 2nd Edition of the Vice-Chancellor’s Cup Competition ended on Friday, 27th May 2022 with the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences winning the overall 1st position. For eight (8) weeks the students kept the campus alive, competing in 10 disciplines. At the Football Boys finals the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences grabbed the trophy by winning the Faculty of Science 1 – 0.
The Faculty of Social and Management Sciences came 1st winning 13 Gold; 9 Silver and 4 Bronze medals
The Faculty of Laws and Political Science came 2nd – winning 11 Gold; 6 Silver and 11 Bronze.
The Faculty of Science came 3rd winning 6 Gold; 14 Silver and 7 Bronze.
The Vice-Chancellor praised the efforts of the Department of Students Affairs and its Dynamic Director (Dr. Charles Alobwede) who together with the Head of Division for Sports (Mr. Emile Mbella) and the Head of Service for Sports (Mr. Buchard) successfully organized this competition.
According to the Director of Students Affairs “the primary objective of UB is academics; however, sports and socio-cultural activities are important in strengthening the immune systems of the students to keep them fit for academic activities, as well as to reinforce the friendly ties amongst them”.
It was a miniature of the All University Games!
