ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
For the Master’s Degree programmes, candidates must hold at least a Second Class (Honours) Lower Division or Mention “Assez-Bien” degree or equivalent in the required field of studies from a recognized university. For the Ph.D. degree programme, candidates must hold a good Masters Degree in the relevant discipline.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Interested candidates should apply in writing to the Registrar of the University of Buea indicating the field and level of interest. The application file should contain the following:
- A handwritten application letter
- An original receipt showing proof of payment of a non-refundable application fee of 20,000 FCFA into the University’s bank account No. 10029-26022-01221966501-71 at any of the Ecobank branches.
- 4 Passport size Photographs
- Original transcripts of all undergraduate and postgraduate work undertaken
- Certified true copy of Birth certificate
- Certified true copy of relevant academic certificates
- Signed updated CV showing research and academic profile of applicant and names of selected referees and their addresses
- A research Statement
- Three confidential reference letters from referees who are people familiar with the candidate’s academic work; two of whom must have taught the candidate at least at the undergraduate level. Click here to download Reference Letter Form
CLOSING DATE
Complete application files, addressed to The Registrar, University of Buea, P.O. Box 63, Buea, should be submitted in Room 103 of the Admission’s Office at the University of Buea not later than 29th September 2014.” Applications received after this date will not be processed.
